The RPG developed by Sandfall Interactive was crowned Game of the Year and became the biggest winner in the award ceremony's history in a single edition, taking home eight trophies throughout the night. In addition to the main trophy, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 won central categories of the ceremony, such as Best RPG, Best Narrative, Best Direction, Best Score and Music, Best Performance, and Best Independent Game, also including the award for best independent debut. The performance consolidated the title not only as the year's highlight but as a milestone in the recent history of narrative-focused games. Produced by Sandfall Interactive, the game already arrived at the awards as the most nominated of the edition, which naturally raised expectations around its performance.
